Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons, as an offensive tight end within the National Football League. He is considered one of the best tight ends in history. Additionally, he was the leader in receiving yards, and the third in total receptions, Gonzalez also was among the NFL tight end who had the highest number of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst. From the beginning of 2017 NFL season, Gonzalez is a regular for FOX NFL KICKOFF the FOX's one-hour NFL pregame program that precedes FOX NFL Sunday, which airs each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez has signed a contract extension with Atlanta Falcons with a two-year term and $11 million on March 15 2013. This was despite having stated that Gonzalez was claiming he would like to retire at the end of 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss retiring, Gonzalez's 37th season was his last as NFL receiving yard leader.
